This beautiful apartment is located in a quiet spot of the San Marco District only one minute walk to the San Samuele Vaporetto stop (next to Palazzo Grassi) and 3 minutes' walk to the Sant' Angelo stop, where the Alilaguna ferry from the airport stops. The apartment is also close to Campo Santo Stefano where there are great bars, restaurants and shops for sophisticated palates. The Accademia Bridge that takes you over to Dorsoduro District is just a minute away.
It is a spacious house of over 150 square meters, laid out on 3 levels, that embodies the most emblematic Venetian historic features and Carlo Scarpa's architectural genius. It is part of an ancient Venetian palazzo situated in a typical "corte" (small square). The house is characterized by a remarkable "trifora" (multiple arched window) made of white Istria stone that allows the privileged guests of the Carlo Scarpa apartment to live the dining room like a terrace with open view on the picturesque surroundings. Prestigious Murano Glass chandeliers and refined Venetian Stucco painted walls add a unique charm to this property.
Having an independent and direct entrance from the square is definitively another great advantage, which gives you the feeling of renting a private Villa even if part of a larger Palazzo. The welcoming living found next to the dining room mentioned above is very cozy and features a stone fireplace, natural parquet flooring, antique wooden beamed ceiling and tall arched windows. The classic style, very functional and fully equipped kitchen is found at the opposite side of this floor and is connected by a corridor to the dining room.
Each bedroom is located on a different level, ensuring extreme privacy to each couple renting this apartment. Every room is equipped with air conditioning units. The larger one has an en-suite bathroom with shower, while the other two share a beautiful mosaic tiles and Carrara Marble bathroom with bathtub. The bedroom on the ground floor has not much natural light but it is mostly used just for sleeping as the living area is very welcoming indeed. There is also a spacious and fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer. Great care has been applied in decorating and furnishing the apartment, as can surely be seen by the well maintained antique furniture, the perfectly maintained parquet flooring and the beautiful wooden beams! Last but not least, it features Wi-Fi internet connection, TV with DVD player, plenty of interesting books about Venice and its culture.
